Monday’s Child

In collaboration with A. Poulin Jr. in 1994, Robert Ernst Marx created a series of etchings based on a reimagined variation of the nursery rhyme Monday’s Child. This portfolio is in the form of loose sheets housed in a binder.

Monday’s child is gaudy as day
Tuesday’s child is plain as clay
Wednesday’s child bakes beams of light
Thursday’s child gulps down the night
Friday’s child sings songs of snow
Saturday’s child blossoms like woe
Sunday’s child hangs her head out to dry in starlight

-A. Poulin Jr.
